In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB1553 ( Relating
to court costs assessed for certain offenses to provide funding
for child safety programs.) this office has detemined the following:

Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB1553-As Engrossed

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government
is anticipated.

A municipality that chooses to raise court
costs on violations affected by the bill could increase revenues
dedicated to child safety programs.
