          House

         FROM: John Keel, Director

In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB1602 ( Relating
to dry fire hydrants.) this office has detemined the following:

Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB1602-As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Civil Practice and Remedies Code by
adding Chapter 98 that would create immunity from liability
for a owner of a water source who permits a fire-fighting agency
to connect a dry fire hydrant or one that otherwise fails.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government
is anticipated.
