In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB1811 ( Relating
to the Texas State Library and Archives Commission and the creation
of the Texas Historical Records Advisory Board.) this office
has detemined the following:

Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB1811-As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would make no appropriation but could provide the legal
basis for an appropriation of funds to implement the provisions
of the bill.

The bill would statutorily establish the Historical Records
Advisory Board to serve as the central advisory body for historical
records planning and related projects and would specify a new
appointment process for the board. The bill would require gubernatorial
appointment of the Coordinator and two citizen members. The
six remaining members would be appointed by the Director and
Librarian of the Texas State Library and Archives Commission.
The bill would be effective September 1, 1997.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
