In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB1811 ( Relating
to the Texas State Library and Archives Commission and the creation
of the Texas Historical Records Advisory Board.) this office
has detemined the following:
Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB1811-As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would make no appropriation but could provide the legal
basis for an appropriation of funds to implement the provisions
of the bill.
The bill would statutorily establish the Historical
Records Advisory Board to serve as the central advisory body
for historical records planning and related projects and would
specify a new appointment process for the board. The bill would
require gubernatorial appointment of the Coordinator and two
citizen members. The six remaining members would be appointed
by the Director and Librarian of the Texas State Library and
Archives Commission. The bill would be effective September
1, 1997.
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
