The bill would amend the Medical Practice Act by requiring retired physicians to participate in continuing medical education if the physician is engaged in voluntary, charitable care. The number of physicians impacted is negligible and costs associated with the bill can be absorbed by the existing resources and appropriations of the Board of Medical Examiners.
