In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB2056 ( Relating
to the recovery of environmental inspection, removal, and remediation
costs by a taxing unit that purchases real property at an ad
valorem tax sale.) this office has detemined the following:
Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB2056-As Introduced
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government
is anticipated.
In certain instances, this bill would allow
a municipality to recover costs associated with environmental
inspections of properties when such properties are sold.
