In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB2099 ( Relating
to student loan reimbursement for physician assistants practicing
in certain areas.) this office has detemined the following:

Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB2099-As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill amends the Physician Assistant Licensing Act to allow
physician assistants who were educated out-of-state to participate
in the student loan reimbursement program. It is anticipated
that the number of physician assistants impacted would be minimal
and that costs can be absorbed by the Board of Medical Examiners
and the Texas Department of Health.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
