TO: Honorable Judith Zaffirini, Chair IN RE: House Bill No. 2126, Committee Report 2nd House, Substituted
Committee on Health & Human Services By: Maxey
Senate
Austin, Texas
FROM: John Keel, Director
In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB2126 ( Relating
to requiring the Department of Human Services to conduct evaluations
to improve its programs.) this office has detemined the following:
Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB2126-Committee Report 2nd House, Substituted
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would require the Department of Human Services to conduct
research, analysis, and reporting of its programs to evaluate
and improve its programs. The department already performs most
of these functions. Therefore, implementing the bill would
not have a significant fiscal impact on the department.
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
