Methodology = Annual cost $520,069 divided by 12 months = 43,339 X 9 months (Jan - Sept) = $390,051 plus $41,741 in start up costs = $431,792 The bill would create an additional county court at law for Travis County, giving preference to cases in which family violence is alleged. The court would be created effective January 1, 1999. Travis County officials estimate there would be an initial cost of $431,792 in fiscal year 1999 to establish and operate the court, with annual operating costs of $520,069.
