In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB2309 ( Relating 
to the fees charged by the Justices of the Peace.) this office 
has detemined the following:
         
         Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB2309-As Introduced
         
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
         

         
 
          
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government 
is anticipated.

The bill would set the fee charged by justices 
of the peace for the issuance of certain documents at $1 for 
the first page and $.25 for each additional page.  Since justice 
of the peace courts currently are limited to $.10 per page, 
it is expected that these courts would be able to recover a 
greater portion of the costs associated with providing copies 
to the public.
