TO: Honorable Judith Zaffirini, Chair IN RE: House Bill No. 2472, As Engrossed
Committee on Health & Human Services By: Maxey
Senate
Austin, Texas
FROM: John Keel, Director
In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB2472 ( Relating
to the reporting of certain injuries to the Texas Department
of Health.) this office has detemined the following:
Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB2472-As Engrossed
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
It is assumed that the addition of traumatic brain injuries
as a reportable condition could be accomplished within existing
resources. The Department of Health identified additional costs
associated with the performance of longitudinal analyses.
The
bill would make no appropriation but could provide the legal
basis for an appropriation of funds to implement the provisions
of the bill.
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government
is anticipated.
