LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE 75th Regular Session April 16, 1997 TO: Honorable Robert Junell, Chair IN RE: House Bill No. 2474 Committee on Appropriations By: Gallego House Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB2474 ( Relating to appropriations for the preservation, enhancement, and promotion of state historical parks, structures, and sites.) this office has detemined the following: Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB2474-As Introduced No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would make no appropriation but could provide the legal basis for an appropriation of funds to implement the provisions of the bill. The bill would amend the Government Code to allow the Historical Commission to receive appropriations for the preservation, enhancement, and promotion of state historical parks, sites, and structures. The bill would also allow the commission to expend those funds for historical parks, sites and structures under the jurisdiction of the Parks and Wildlife Department, pursuant to an agreement between the two agencies.
