TO: Honorable Robert Junell, Chair IN RE: House Bill No. 2474
          Committee on Appropriations By: Gallego
          House
          Austin, Texas

         FROM: John Keel, Director

In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB2474 ( Relating
to appropriations for the preservation, enhancement, and promotion
of state historical parks, structures, and sites.) this office
has detemined the following:

Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB2474-As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would make no appropriation but could provide the legal
basis for an appropriation of funds to implement the provisions
of the bill.

The bill would amend the Government Code to
allow the Historical Commission to receive appropriations for
the preservation, enhancement, and promotion of state historical
parks, sites, and structures. The bill would also allow the
commission to expend those funds for historical parks, sites
and structures under the jurisdiction of the Parks and Wildlife
Department, pursuant to an agreement between the two agencies.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
