FISCAL NOTE
75th Regular Session
March 23, 1997
TO: Honorable Harvey Hilderbran, Chair IN RE: House Bill No. 2510
Committee on Human Services By: Hilderbran
House
Austin, Texas
FROM: John Keel, Director
In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB2510 ( Relating
to the regulation of certain personal care facilities.) this
office has detemined the following:
Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB2510-As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would make no appropriation but could provide the legal
basis for an appropriation of funds to implement the provisions
of the bill.
The bill states that the Board of Health shall
adopt rules required to implement the provisions of the bill.
The Department of Health estimates that there will be no fiscal
impact to the Department of Health as personal care facilities
are regulated by the Department of Human Services. The Department
of Human Services states that insufficient data are available
to project the number of complaints that will be received as
a result of the minimum standards described in the bill.
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
