LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE 75th Regular Session March 23, 1997 TO: Honorable Harvey Hilderbran, Chair IN RE: House Bill No. 2510 Committee on Human Services By: Hilderbran House Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB2510 ( Relating to the regulation of certain personal care facilities.) this office has detemined the following: Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB2510-As Introduced No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would make no appropriation but could provide the legal basis for an appropriation of funds to implement the provisions of the bill. The bill states that the Board of Health shall adopt rules required to implement the provisions of the bill. The Department of Health estimates that there will be no fiscal impact to the Department of Health as personal care facilities are regulated by the Department of Human Services. The Department of Human Services states that insufficient data are available to project the number of complaints that will be received as a result of the minimum standards described in the bill.
