The bill would make no appropriation but could provide the legal basis for an appropriation of funds to implement the provisions of the bill. Similar annual fiscal implications The Board would administer the program as an extension of existing preceptorship programs in internal medicine and pediatrics at no additional cost to the state. Additional funds could be provided by the Legislature for this program. It is also assumed that while medical schools and nonprofit facilities may incur some costs in overseeing or operating the preceptorships, those costs would be covered in the allocation from the Coordinating Board.
