This bill would revise and make consistent certain laws governing the assessments levied by water control and improvement districts, water control districts, and irrigation districts. No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated. The increase in the imposition of certain interest rates and penalties on delinquent assessments, along with an increase in attorney fees, however, would result in increased revenues for these water districts.
