LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE 75th Regular Session April 15, 1997 TO: Honorable Ron E. Lewis, Chair IN RE: House Bill No. 2868 Committee on County Affairs By: Bonnen House Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB2868 ( Relating to the County Road Department.) this office has detemined the following: Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB2868-As Introduced No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. A county choosing to prepare and coordinate a county master drainage plan could incur costs associated with staff time devoted to the project, consulting fees, and publication costs. Brazoria County estimates that the preparation and coordination of a master drainage plan would not result in significant costs to that county, since it is anticipated that such a project would only be undertaken if the majority of funds required were available from grant programs.
