In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB2928 ( Relating
to the provision of job training for AFDC recipients.) this
office has detemined the following:
Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB2928-Committee Report 1st House, Substituted
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
This bill creates a self-sufficiency fund to be used by public
community colleges, technical colleges, and community based
organizations as start-up funds for AFDC recipient job training.
It is assumed that the source of funding would be appropriated
federal funds. The commission would coordinate contracts between
employers and public educational institutions for training qualified
participants.
No fiscal implication to units of local government
is anticipated.
