LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE 75th Regular Session April 14, 1997 TO: Honorable Barry Telford, Chair IN RE: House Bill No. 2965 Committee on Pensions and Investments By: Reyna, Elvira House Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB2965 ( Relating to investment training for board members and investment officers of state agencies.) this office has detemined the following: Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB2965-As Introduced No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would direct the Higher Education Coordinating Board to provide investment training for board members and investment officers of state agencies. The Higher Education Coordinating Board currently provides training for investment officers, regents, and trustees of higher education institutions. It is assumed that the Board would be allowed to charge a fee to cover their costs similarly to their current training. No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
