In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB3047 ( Relating 
to the compensation of constables in certain counties.) this 
office has detemined the following:
         
         Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB3047-As Introduced
         
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
         

         
 
          
This bill would require that a constable's salary be set at 
80 percent of the salary of the county judge in Bexar, Dallas, 
Harris and Tarrant Counties.  These four counties estimate that 
this bill would increase annual costs in the following amounts:

Bexar 
County--$154,000;
Dallas County--$152,000;
Harris County--$36,000; 
and
Tarrant County--$233,000.
