         FROM: John Keel, Director

In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB3250 ( Relating
to dog and cat sterilization and the issuance of Animal Friendly
license plates.) this office has detemined the following:

Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB3250-As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would create a new dedicated Animal Friendly Account
in the General Revenue Fund. The account would receive money
from gifts, grants, donations, legislative appropriations, and
from a fee for a new, specially designed license plate. The
Department of Health would administer the account and could
utilize the funds to issue grants to eligible organizations
that sterilize animals owned by the general public at cost or
no cost and to defray the cost of administering the account.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
