LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE 75th Regular Session April 14, 1997 TO: Honorable Rene Oliveira, Chair IN RE: House Bill No. 3259 Committee on Economic Development By: Coleman House Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB3259 ( Relating to the implementation of a work training program for recipients of public assistance.) this office has detemined the following: Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB3259-As Introduced No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. This bill amends Subchapter A, Chapter 302 of the Labor Code by adding Sec. 302.004 which would require the Texas Workforce Commission to establish a pilot program where the commission certifies training partnerships in allied health professions for recipients of public assistance. The bill would require the commission to cooperate with the Department of Licensing and Regulation in adopting rules under this section.
