LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE 75th Regular Session May 14, 1997 TO: Honorable Bill Ratliff, Chair IN RE: House Bill No. 3271, As Engrossed Committee on Finance By: Berlanga Senate Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB3271 ( relating to student center complex fees for institutions in The Texas A&M University System) this office has detemined the following: Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB3271-As Engrossed No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would authorize the Board of Regents of Texas A&M University System to increase the student center complex fee to $40 per student for each semester of the long session and to $20 per student for each term of the summer session. It is estimated that the increase in the student center complex fee would generate $705,493 in FY 98 and $1,410,986 in FY 99. These fees are auxiliary in nature and do not affect the state supported educational and general operations of the university. No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
