In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB3271 ( Relating
to student center complex feew for educational institutions.)
this office has detemined the following:

Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB3271-Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Similar annual fiscal implications This bill would authorize
the Board of Regents of Texas A&M University System to increase
the student center complex fee to $40 per student for each semester
of the long session and to $20 per student for each term of
the summer session.

It is estimated that the increase in
the student center complex fee would generate $705,493 in FY
98 and $1,410,986 in FY 99. These fees are auxiliary in nature
and do not affect the state supported educational and general
operations of the university.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
