In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HB3368 ( Relating
to the acquisition of real property by the General Services
Commission as an alternative to leasing space.) this office
has detemined the following:

Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HB3368-As Introduced

No cost to the State is anticipated.

The bill would authorize the construction of state facilities
as an alternative to leasing space, which could result in significant
savings to the state.

The bill would allow the General Services Commission to consider
facility construction as an alternative to leasing space as
part of the commission's facility evaluation process. The commission
would be authorized to acquire and construct space other than
office space such as laboratories and warehouses.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government
is anticipated.
