In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on HJR69 ( Proposing 
a constitutional amendment providing for the appointment of 
appellate justices and judges by the governor with retention 
elections on a nonpartisan ballot for those justices and judges.) 
this office has detemined the following:
         
         Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by HJR69-As Introduced
         
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated, other than 
the cost of publication.  The cost to the state for publication 
of the resolution would be $71,000 in fiscal year 1998.
         

         
 
          
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
