In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on SB14 ( Relating
to long-term care for public employees.) this office has detemined
the following:

Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by SB14-Committee Report 1st House, as amended

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

This bill establishes the Public Employees Long-Term Care Board
to offer long-term care insurance plans to the members, annuitants,
and the spouses, children, parents, and spouses parents of
members and annuitants of any retirement system administered
by the State or a political subdivision of the State. The full
cost of enrollment would be paid by the enrollees so there would
be no fiscal implication to the state. The bill does not address
how start-up costs would be funded.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
