LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE 75th Regular Session January 27, 1997 TO: Honorable Rodney Ellis, Chair IN RE: Senate Bill No. 52 Committee on Jurisprudence By: Shapiro Senate Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on SB52 ( Relating to the validity of adoption orders.) this office has detemined the following: Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by SB52-As Introduced This bill would amend Subsection 162.012(a) of the Family Code to provide that an adoption order is subject to attack for six rather than 24 months after the order is rendered. No fiscal implications to the State are anticipated. Similar annual fiscal implications would continue as long as the provisions of the bill are in effect.
