         In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on SB61 ( Relating to the
penalty for failure to report abuse of persons who are elderly or disabled.)
this office has detemined the following:
         
         Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by SB61-As Introduced
         
             This bill would amend Section 48.0361 of the Human Resources Code
to classify the failure to report abuse, neglect, or exploitation of persons
who are elderly or disabled as a Class A rather than a Class B misdemeanor. 
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
         
         
         
 
          
             No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
