          House
          Austin, Texas

         FROM: John Keel, Director

In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on SB94 ( Relating
to the creation, extension, renewal, or modification of deed
restrictions applicable to certain residential real estate subdivisions.)
this office has detemined the following:

Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by SB94-Committee Report 2nd House, Substituted

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

This bill affects only the unincorporated areas of Brazoria,
Fort Bend, Galveston and Harris counties. It would apply to
those counties' provisions for the renewal of certain subdivision
restrictions that currently only apply to the City of Houston.
Since deed restrictions must be filed with the county clerk
in each county, the enactment of this bill could result in a
nominal increase in filings and subsequent costs to counties.

No
significant fiscal implication to units of local government
is anticipated.
