Bosse, Chair IN RE: Senate Bill No. 94, Committee Report 2nd House, Substituted Committee on Land and Resource Management By: Patterson,Jerry House Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on SB94 ( Relating to the creation, extension, renewal, or modification of deed restrictions applicable to certain residential real estate subdivisions.) this office has detemined the following: Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by SB94-Committee Report 2nd House, Substituted No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. This bill affects only the unincorporated areas of Brazoria, Fort Bend, Galveston and Harris counties. It would apply to those counties' provisions for the renewal of certain subdivision restrictions that currently only apply to the City of Houston. Since deed restrictions must be filed with the county clerk in each county, the enactment of this bill could result in a nominal increase in filings and subsequent costs to counties.
