FISCAL NOTE
75th Regular Session
March 14, 1997
TO: Honorable Judith Zaffirini, Chair IN RE: Senate Bill No. 213, Committee Report 1st House, Substituted
Committee on Health & Human Services By: Moncrief
Senate
Austin, Texas
FROM: John Keel, Director
In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on SB213 ( Relating
to the establishment of a child care training center pilot program
for certain recipients of public assistance.) this office has
detemined the following:
Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by SB213-Committee Report 1st House, Substituted
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would partially implement Texas Performance Review
(TPR) recommendation WF6 in Disturbing the Peace: The Challenge
of Change in Texas Government to establish child-care training
centers for recipients of public assistance. Since the bill
would create a pilot program, as opposed to full implementation
of the TPR recommendation, there would not be a significant
impact to the State.
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
