         FROM: John Keel, Director

In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on SB273 ( Relating
to the development of a statewide consumer guide for senior
citizens.) this office has detemined the following:

Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by SB273-Committee Report 2nd House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would make no appropriation but could provide the legal
basis for an appropriation of funds to implement the provisions
of the bill.

The bill would partially implement Texas Performance
Review (TPR) recommendation HHS 24 in "Disturbing the Peace."
(Note: The Texas Department on Aging had not responded at the
time this fiscal note was completed.)

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
