In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on SB381 ( Relating 
to the civil and criminal consequences of a grant of deferred 
adjudication for a sexual offense or a sexually assaultive offense.) 
this office has detemined the following:
         
         Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by SB381-As Introduced
         
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The 
bill would increase the maximum length of community supervision 
from 10 years to 20 years for certain sexual offenses.  Because 
the bill would affect only offenders committing offenses after 
the effective date of the bill, no impact would occur until 
10 years following passage. Increased costs to the Texas Department 
of Criminal Justice after 10 years from the effective date of 
the bill would be contingent upon local sentencing practices.
         

         
 
          
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government 
is anticipated.
