In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on SB402 ( Relating
to the appointment of probate masters for certain courts.) this
office has detemined the following:

Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by SB402-Committee Report 2nd House, Substituted

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would provide for the appointment of probate masters
for statutory probate courts in Texas. The cost to county governments
would be between $60,000 to $72,000 for the annual salary of
each master with additional costs for capital expenses and support
personnel.
