LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE 75th Regular Session February 13, 1997 TO: Honorable Teel Bivins, Chair IN RE: Senate Bill No. 410 Committee on Education By: Nelson Senate Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on SB410 ( Relating to certain students expelled from public school or ordered to attend a juvenile justice alternative education program.) this office has detemined the following: Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by SB410-As Introduced This bill would relate to relocation in another county by a student who is expelled from public school or is ordered to attend a juvenile justice alternative education program, clarify student attendance reporting in the new district, provide for transfer to new juvenile justice programs and provide options to county juvenile courts upon receiving transfers to juvenile justice alternative education programs. No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
