"Buster" Brown, Chair IN RE: Senate Bill No. 469 Committee on Natural Resources By: Duncan Senate Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on SB469 ( Relating to the inactive status of the Texas Soybean Producers Board.) this office has detemined the following: Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by SB469-As Introduced Implementing the provisions of the bill would result in a net positive impact of $800 to General Revenue Related Funds through the biennium ending August 31, 1999. Fiscal Analysis The bill would render the Texas Soybean Producers Board inactive under the Texas Commodity Referendum Law. The bill would end the Texas Department of Agriculture's oversight of the board until it was reactivated. Methodolgy Savings would result from reductions in travel expenses incurred by the department.
