Bosse, Chair IN RE: Senate Bill No. 693, Committee Report 2nd House, Substituted Committee on Land and Resource Management By: Brown House Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on SB693 ( Relating to standing to enforce restrictions relating to state property.) this office has detemined the following: Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by SB693-Committee Report 2nd House, Substituted No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would provide clear statutory authority for the Land Commissioner or the Attorney General, on his own initiative or at the request of the Land Commissioner, to bring suit to enforce a restrictive covenant or other restriction contained in a legislative act, patent or other instrument conveying real property owned by the permanent school fund or a state agency to a third party. Permanent university fund lands or other real property controlled or administered by the University of Texas System would be excluded from these provisions.
