The bill would provide clear statutory authority for the Land Commissioner or the Attorney General, on his own behalf or on behalf of the Land Commissioner, to bring suit to enforce a restrictive covenant or other restriction contained in a legislative act, patent or other instrument conveying real property owned by the permanent school fund or a state agency to a third party.
