LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE 75th Regular Session April 21, 1997 TO: Honorable Hugo Berlanga, Chair IN RE: Senate Bill No. 702, As Engrossed Committee on Public Health By: Moncrief House Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on SB702 ( Relating to the imposition of administrative penalties under certain professional licensing programs.) this office has detemined the following: Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by SB702-As Engrossed No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would add administrative penalties to the statutes governing the regulation of Massage Therapists, Respiratory Care Practitioners, Medical Radiologic Technologists, and Opticians. Administrative penalties would be deposited to the credit of the general revenue fund. Costs and expenses collected would be deposited into the state treasury to the credit of a special account that may be appropriated only to the Department of Health.
