LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE 75th Regular Session March 6, 1997 TO: Honorable Rodney Ellis, Chair IN RE: Senate Bill No. 726 Committee on Jurisprudence By: Shapleigh Senate Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on SB726 ( Relating to court administration in El Paso County, to the creation of the County Courts at Law No. 6 and No. 7 of El Paso County, Texas, and to the assignment of certain judges in El Paso County.) this office has detemined the following: Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by SB726-As Introduced No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. Similar annual fiscal implications would continue as long as the provisions of the bill are in effect. The bill would create two additional county courts at law for El Paso County and designate them as criminal misdemeanor courts. El Paso County officials expect that revenues will be approximately $545,952 annually with expenses of $489,362, for a net annual revenue increase of $56,590.
