LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE 75th Regular Session March 18, 1997 TO: Honorable Eddie Lucio, Jr., Chair IN RE: Senate Bill No. 804 Committee on Intergovernmental Relations By: Brown Senate Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on SB804 ( Relating to allowing municipalities to purchase goods for retail sale without following competitive bidding procedures.) this office has detemined the following: Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by SB804-As Introduced No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. This bill would allow municipalities to purchase goods for subsequent retail sale without following competitive bidding procedures. Municipalities could realize positive fiscal implications equal to the publishing and administrative costs associated with competitive bidding procedures for such items.
