         FROM: John Keel, Director

In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on SB863 ( Relating
to precommitment approval for certain purchases of a port authority.)
this office has detemined the following:

Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by SB863-As Engrossed

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government
is anticipated.

Port authorities could realize some savings
in administrative costs as a result of using precommitment approvals
instead of purchase orders.
