In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on SB966 ( Relating 
to the creation of two county criminal courts in Denton County.) 
this office has detemined the following:
         
         Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by SB966-As Introduced
         

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
         

         
 
          
The bill would create two additional county criminal courts 
in Denton County.  County Criminal Court No. 3 would be created 
September 1, 1997 and County Criminal Court No. 4 would be created 
September 1, 1998.  Denton County officials expect the net annual 
cost to Denton County will be approximately $520,950 in fiscal 
year 1998, $914,666 in fiscal year 1999 and a net cost of $794,432 
annually thereafter.
