LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE 75th Regular Session March 24, 1997 TO: Honorable Kenneth Armbrister, Chair IN RE: Senate Bill No. 1065 Committee on State Affairs By: Carona Senate Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on SB1065 ( Relating to the interval between internal inspection of boilers; amending Section 755.026 of the Health and Safety Code.) this office has detemined the following: Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by SB1065-As Introduced No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. This bill amends Section 755.026 of the Texas Health and Safety Code to provide for extended intervals between internal inspections of boilers. Internal boiler inspections require a shut down of the entire boiler system. The interval extension between internal boiler inspections allows additional flexibility for the Department to coordinate internal inspection boiler system shut downs with regular maintenance shut downs. Since regular internal boiler inspections are still required, there are no anticipated savings related to extending the intervals between internal boiler inspections.
