LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE 75th Regular Session April 3, 1997 TO: Honorable Kenneth Armbrister, Chair IN RE: Senate Bill No. 1065, Committee Report 1st House, Substituted Committee on State Affairs By: Carona Senate Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on SB1065 ( relating to the interval between internal inspections of certain boilers.) this office has detemined the following: Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by SB1065-Committee Report 1st House, Substituted No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. This bill amends Section 755.026 of the Texas Health and Safety Code to provide for extended intervals between internal inspections of boilers. Internal boiler inspections require a shut down of the entire boiler system. The interval extension between internal boiler inspections allows additional flexibility for the Department to coordinate internal inspection boiler system shut downs with regular maintenance shut downs. Since regular internal boiler inspections are still required, there are no anticipated savings related to extending the intervals between internal boiler inspections.
