LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE 75th Regular Session March 25, 1997 TO: Honorable Judith Zaffirini, Chair IN RE: Senate Bill No. 1112 Committee on Health & Human Services By: Ellis Senate Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on SB1112 ( Relating to development of a statewide consumer guide on child care.) this office has detemined the following: Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by SB1112-As Introduced No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would make no appropriation but could provide the legal basis for an appropriation of funds to implement the provisions of the bill. The bill would partially implement Texas Performance Review recommendation HHS 5 in Disturbing the Peace. The bill would require the Comptroller, with assistance from an interagency work group, to develop and make available to the public a statewide consumer guide on child care no later than January 1, 1998. The cost of developing and publishing the guide should not have a significant fiscal impact on the Comptroller's Office. No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
