LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE 75th Regular Session May 8, 1997 TO: Honorable Bob Bullock IN RE: Senate Bill No. 1131, As Passed 2nd House Lieutenant Governor Davila Senate Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on SB1131 ( Relating to the regulation for the practice of cosmetology; providing an administrative penalty.) this office has detemined the following: Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by SB1131-As Passed 2nd House No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would amend Article 8451a, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes to allow the Cosmetology Commission to establish and set fees that are reasonable and necessary to administer the Cosmetology Act. The bill would also allow the commission to assess administrative penalties for violations of the Cosmetology Act. No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
