TO: Honorable Tom Craddick, Chair IN RE: Senate Bill No. 1269,
                                                    As Engrossed
Committee on Ways & Means By: Armbrister
          House
          Austin, Texas

         FROM: John Keel, Director

In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on SB1269 ( Relating
to the duties of the tax assessor-collector regarding certain
tax receipt records.) this office has detemined the following:

Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by SB1269-As Engrossed

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government
is anticipated.

The bill could result in nominal savings
in administrative costs to counties that choose not to retain
copies of motor vehicle tax receipts, since this would reduce
staff time devoted to the filing of such records.
