The provisions of Section 1 of the bill relating to providing a fire fighter or police officer with copies of each affidavit, complaint, or witness statement regarding an investigation of a fire fighter or police officer is not anticipated to result in significant fiscal implications to municipalities which have adopted civil service statutes. The City of Houston anticipates that the provisions of the bill which apply exclusively to that city will, in some cases, increase the cost of investigation of complaints against fire fighters and police officers.
