In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on SB1295 ( Relating
to licensure of certain international medical students who have
successfully completed a fifth pathway program.) this office
has detemined the following:

Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by SB1295-Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Medical Practice Act by allowing for
the licensure of certain international medical students who
have met licensure requirements. It is estimated that twenty
new licensees would be affected. Costs associated with the
bill can be absorbed by the resources and appropriations of
the Board of Medical Examiners.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
