LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas
FISCAL NOTE
75th Regular Session
May 5, 1997
TO: Honorable Steven Wolens, Chair IN RE: Senate Bill No. 1333, As Engrossed
Committee on State Affairs By: Ellis
House
Austin, Texas
FROM: John Keel, Director
In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on SB1333 ( Relating
to reporting of representation before state agencies by state
officers and employees.) this office has detemined the following:
Biennial Net Impact to General Revenue Funds by SB1333-As Engrossed
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would recreate the currently abolished State Ethics
Fund as a separate fund in the State Treasury, but would not
rededicate any revenue to the fund. The recreation of special
funds and dedicated revenue sources outside the General Revenue
Fund could further restrict the Legislature's ability to appropriate
revenues for general operating purposes.
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
